@thelastofus2872 Does Matha's Vineyard area not have churches? They are all God's houses so they all should do their part rather than it only falling on a few. Not to mention this has nothing to do with the soul because this is worldly and state matters which Jesus made a clear distinction with. Before you pull the "we're a Christian country" card, we're influenced by Judeo Christian values and so are most of the countries these people are coming from. There is only one land blessed by God and this isn't it. Edit: A lot of the people illegally crossing the border call themselves Catholic, yet they are lying and knowingly breaking the laws of the land. Then there's the fact Jesus said we should protect ourselves and our countries from invading forces. 200,000 is an invasion.

@MunchinOnDew Sorry. I don't think it's unreasonable to burst their bubble. They don't mind when the policies they support causes crime and homelessness in suburban areas which are the bubble for the middle class so screw 'em.

The border is federal agents so how exactly will that be accomplished? Texas has the national Guard there, but federal agents come by and make them stand aside to let them in.

Abbot sent them to sanctuary cities. It's easy for Chicago to be a sanctuary city when they're only close to the Canadian border. They talk about Texas and other states badly for complaining about the unsecure border. So they virtue signal by becoming a sanctuary city knowing full well not many will come there. Now they get to fulfill their promise.
