  2. It's pretty clear by some comments people don't know what Evangelicals are or that most Christians aren't one. Evangelicals believe in strict adherence to the Bible and take it literally. No interpretations allowed. They're not Catholics and wouldn't consider them Christians. Amish would be Evangelicals.

  3. Evangelicals haven't had any real power since the 90s. They enjoyed a brief period of it when Reagan centered the party around them and they were being heavily courted by both sides, but it didn't last long past the Satanic panic. Pinkos were rising in power since the early 2000s and were taking control by the mid 2000s so you were railing against a ghost. Most Christians aren't evangelical and I get the feeling people don't know that.
