  1. It passed the House. That doesn't make it law. It won't pass the Senate. Anything this administration and every pet Democrat project can easily pass the House right now because the Dems control it. They don't have a true majority in the Senate. With the Afghanistan debacle, moderate Democrat seats are in serious jeopardy in the upcoming midterms. They are going to be very reluctant to pass these things. Even Feinstein is saying she won't vote to end the filibuster because California's recalling Newsom. Edit: Feinstein wants to retire due to health reasons, but if she did so right now with how pissed Californians are right now it's likely her seat would go to a Republican. That would switch the majority back to Republicans even before the midterms.

  2. I see a lot saying he'll just ignore it. He can't. The Supreme Court just recognized this as law. The only way to undo it is with congressional action. It also isn't just enforced by the US, but by Mexico. Meaning it'll be enforced one way or another or risk causing a nightmare with our southern neighbor.
