@Tyler_W According to Rekieta, who's good buddy Ty does contract deals far larger than this, that was an insulting lowball first offer and even Jeremy said he knew he'd reject it. So why send your "friend" an offer you know is no where near what it will be negotiated to? Why not send them one that's closer to what you know the terms will be and go from there instead of insult your friend you know is demonitized already and going to lose 20% of the contract off the top? Honestly, that was one of the biggest insults in it. You're removing almost 1 full year of pay, putting paying for everything on him, while taking every extra cent he could possibly get to try to cover paying for everything. That was literally asking him and his entire staff to work for free and start millions in the hole.

@Schrödinger's Snuffleupagus If it was the starting deal, then why when Crowder said it wasn't acceptable and come back with something else, did they ghost him for 3 months and then say that's the best we can do? That's according to the end of DWs video. After he spent the entire video claiming he knew Stephen was worth way more, would bring in way more, and it was negotiable? Clearly it wasn't.

@bighands69 Him and Jeremy own the Daily Wire equally. He has everything to do with it. How did you not know that?

@antistupid4712 It wasn't really $50 million and they knew it. He's demonitized which means he loses 20% of the entire contract every year. It's closer to $10 million with him taking all production costs plus having to make and fund a documentary that they'll reimburse him about $1.5 million of the cost of. So he better make sure it's cheap or he'll owe them for that too. The contract would be 12.5 million a year with him only being paid 5% of it, because it's already split into 4 years so 25%. They take 20% of that 25% every year because he's demonitized and he's only being paid/offered 5%. That's not including losing another 20% if he just gets a strike. He'd owe them pretty quickly. It is extremely predatory.

@joshuanolan4581 Yes losing 1 years worth of the contract because they knew he's demonitized making him start out owing them money and calling that out as predatory (I've seen better music contracts in the 80s), is a teenager move. He gets nothing, owes them while having to pay all costs while they get all the money from his sponsers, his subscribers, his merch, and his standup shows, is a great deal. Edit: Since it resets every year, they wouldn't have to pay him a dime because it's 20% of the entire contract right off the bat at the start of every fiscal year. He'd go bankrupt. They would only pay him 5% of that $50 million over 4 years with those terms with him paying his team and all production costs out of that. If he gets his normal strikes and stuff, he'd owe them.

@strongandco He did. He came with an original amount. They sent that, he said not good enough, they said we'll come back with another offer, ghosted him for 3 months, then said that's the best we can do which Jeremy admitted in the video wasn't true and they always knew he'd cost more.

That was a crazy nasty deal. On top of his daily content he has to do a documentary yearly, a monthly meet up, and a quarterly special with only 4 weeks off his daily show to do it. That's insane. A documentary takes a professional used to doing them 1-2 years of research and filming alone. His whole trying to act like doing all that isn't as much work as regular people do is total bs too. Also they'd own all his income from his standup shows as well, if they allow him to do it. It's also clear they won't allow Dave to host. The disability clause was disgusting too. So he makes nothing while they continue to collect my money that I'm paying to make sure he's taken care of? I've seen better music contracts. The whole "he was my friend" crap was nauseating too. If that's what you send a "friend" you admit is worth way more than that, then what contracts do all the other guys have? They sold their souls. Edit: He made the video because people already figured it out and they were getting backlash and losing subs. This isn't going to go well for them and they just ruined themselves.
