@ceebee-cee6605 37,000 things that nobody has access to all of. Meaning that's completely irrelevant. How much destruction of forests would it be to make them available to billions of people? Nobody thinks about that when making such comments.

I've seen this in many places with socialized medicine. It's one of the main reasons I just can't support it in the US. Also, I experienced it when Canada when I had our first child. Our second was born in the US, and the difference in the level of care was astonishing. Even the attitude of the nurses was night and day. I just had my 5th autoimmune disease rear it's head and I know if I was pretty much anywhere with socialized healthcare, I'd still be waiting to see a specialist to even just diagnosis it. It's still a different system for the wealthy who can afford private, so it doesn't even really address one of the main problems people claim it solves. I had an amniocentesis with the first because I screening showed Down Syndrome, and the window was closing in case we decided not to proceed. The only place that could get me in was a private hospital. Again, the difference was shocking. The facilities were so much cleaner, brighter, etc. Much higher standard than the government supplied ones. Edit: I can certainly see where it's good if you have chronic conditions that require a lot of surgeries or expensive medications. Especially if it's a single issue situation. Unfortunately, the downsides are just too great except for that small segment of society. We've got tons of charities and organizations along with government provided insurance for the poor and elderly that most people are taken care of.

@anneshaughnessy2754 Do you think being vegan will make you live forever? It doesn't. Your life will cease just as it's intended to. Diabetes, where it's not genetic, is caused by over consumption of sugar and starches. Lard, aka animal fats, are better for you than seed oils. Our bodies know how to deal with them because we've been eating them for millions of years. It's the cooking of meat which rendered that fat that caused human brains to expand and grow at rapid rate. Advocating for every human to stop doing that isn't good for the species. It's almost as bad as forcing a dog or cat to be vegan. Just because some organization deems something okay doesn't mean it's the best. Especially with so few subjects to test the results on throughout their lifespan. You'd need subjects that had been that way their entire life. That's extremely rare since it's still uncommon for people to ear like that. I don't have to take mouthful of supplements everyday to maintain my health. Supplements full of lord knows what because they're not regulated. I'll eat how is best for me, you eat how you wish. You don't get to attempt to try to make me feel guilty for eating anything.

@MargaretBurmingham-qm5dx "The US ranks pretty low for LGBT rights." First off, you bigot for not including all the other groups and limiting it like that. Secondly, BS. Uter and complete BS. Tell me the rights they don't have that everyone else does. Not privileges, actual rights. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of movement, etc. Actual rights. A place of business can determine who is and isn't allowed to use their facilities. Everyone else's right of association is being violated, but you're fine with that. Our freedom of speech is being violated, but you're fine with that.
