  1. Bingo and that’s why Japan is looking at AI. I posted about the real reason but I’ll put it here too because it puts this in even more context. They’re changing so much it’s becoming a copyright issue for the Japanese companies that make them. In this case particularly so much was changed they could sue for rights to the US version they made because it’s so different to the original work.

  2. Japan going with AI isn’t just because of US fans. If these people change enough of the original, the creators and original studio could lose the rights to the US version. That’s a huge issue for these Japanese companies.
