It already has spread everywhere except manufacturing. Working an assembly line or in a refinery is the only place activists aren't. Any executive, corporate, office position is already infested by this insanity.

I was done when they started banning people for wrong think.

@deltatea3192 "Mainstream" and there's the problem. Once it became cool to be a nerd it got taken over by the same people that made fun of us for playing it or doing cosplay. I've played D&D since the early 80s, been a gamer since arcade games and Pong, Doctor Who since the 70s, etc. Mainstream kills everything.

Partly. Everyone stuck inside wasn't going to last. Once people were able to go back outside it was going to drop. It wasn't just that that's killed it. It's the rule changes and basically calling the fanbase that kept it alive for all these years a bunch of racists for playing it because it was supposedly racist. That's been the death of every franchise recently. You drive away your core fanbase and you'll reliant on new people who don't care about it and are only playing because it's the current fad. The thing about fads is they're temporary.

Hasbro didn't ruin WotC. They were already doing that before Hasbro bought it. Creatively it's just been continuing down the road it was already set on. The quality of plastic and packaging doesn't affect cards or tabletop games. WotC remained seperate almost completely from Hasbro until 2021. They were already all on board the activist train virtue signaling long before that.

Thank goodness we still have the old books. It's not going to comeback with them changing the old rule books. People will look at that in the future and see how difficult it's going to be to just make a game and ignore it.

Yet 40K is still thriving. It has a much more expensive entry and hobby for a tabletop game. Blowing your hypothesis out of the water. Just like other such games it's seen a lot of new players. The difference is it hasn't called it's fanbase names and basically disowned older edition. While there have been some changes, it's resisted the gutting that others have done to appeal to the "modern audience" and resisted the message being pumped into it. Edit: When WotC, a company based in Seattle, bought it that was always the first nail in its coffin. WotC just kept right on putting them in.

@richardtracy8242 It did end up making a profit. It's not just theaters that make a movie money. They're doing another one. I watched it and it was pretty good. They're banking on the popularity of BG3 bringing in more and it being exposed to more people on streaming. I watched it and it was pretty much how your characters would act based on your dice rolls and their traits.

@cameron120587 He's got one coming out in a couple days on the screeners for writers. It's insane. Literal check boxes. My favorite is the "select all" option on the disabilities section. If you can check them all you're incapable of writing anything.
