@Mereologist That speaks more about those individuals personal issues than anything to do with AI. If I wrote a program, because that's all AI is, that just complimented a person and agreed with them there are people that would "fall in love" with it. One that mirrors the other person would have the same effect. Mirroring is a well known con tactic to get a person to trust and like you. It's the opposite of being "real."

That just happened to my husband. He got hacked. They said he has to send a photo of his ID to get back in, but he can get in on his computer.

@Volyren You're complaining videos that are mostly watched and commented on by children has children acting like children in the comment section. Pretty much any comment with a bunch of emoji is a child. Or a bot $e× account.

Hardly. We are no where near enough computing power to create anything anywhere near human. I don't think people understand the computing power in the human brain. It's astounding how quickly it transfers and interprets data. Multiple streams of data simultaneously being sent in and out to different areas. A single data point being interpreted multiple ways and each sent to the coordinating receptor almost instantaneously. AI is just an algorithm that chooses the most likely response. It's not even remotely comparable.

It really shouldn't be called AI because it's in no way Artificial Intelligence. They're just complex algorithms that choose from a list of coded responses depending on the prompt given. There's nothing intelligent about them because they're limited by their programmers intelligence. Remember the coder that swore it was "alive." Then when it came out and was eventually broken it was a joke?
