Russell Brand did a good interview with a journalist and he explained why everything to do with it is the way it is now. If you remember that all the movie, games, and others are journalists that failed to get hired by a a news publication it helps explain it. Journalism used to be more of a trade and it was children of working class. Now it's an expensive degree and it's the children of well off people that go into because they want to be in the inner circle and run elbows with the elite. They view the world totally differently than working class people and had never been exposed to people of different races or watched movies like normal people do. So because they still want to make it into that circle, they have made everything political and taken these stands to try to get attention from them. The elites are doing the signaling so if they do it too maybe they'll get invited somewhere.
