@pooooo52 Apparently Palpatine had a child by someone unimportant, they got married, and hid their child from him. You'd think we would have heard of them before the last 10 minutes of his life.

@johnnygyro2295 I don't think the Child is "the chosen one". He's going to be a grey jedi just with a different path than Revan. The chosen one was always Anakin, it just happened later than what the council thought. That's why if Luke failed Leia would come into play, per Yoda. One of his children would turn him so he could fulfill his destiny. If Anakin trains the child that could also play into Anakin being the chosen one, because he would bring the balance by teaching him both sides as only someone like him could do. Thus balance is achieved IN the child (I don't like his name), but it's still Anakin that facilitates it. Remember he BRINGS balance to the force, not that he is the balance. We'll have to wait and see if these plans move forward, how much of 7, 8, and 9 remain cannon. I'm hopeful, but not optimistic. Had they stuck with JJ's apparent plan we wouldn't be in this mess because it looked like he was going to keep a lot of the books.
