Meat and food production wasn't shutdown. They have suffered from a worker shortage. This is all from the disruption in the supply chain from when people bought too much at one time and caused the original shortage. It's being compounded by the labor shortage. There is no such thing as storage of "surplus" fresh food items. They have a short shelf life.

That pictures are of the food they removed while still charging the same. They've increased the price if you want the shrimp that used to be included. I'd be pissed too. Disney is already expensive and they've removed all the perks. I've gone several times and won't be back if they don't at least put back the perks.
