@whitecreamymilk8436 No they aren't. They cost thousands to replace. They aren't like old ones used to be. As a former teen trouble maker, we never did it to the general public. Comparing graffiti at a school and destroying expensive private property is asinine. Everyone that destroyed expensive school property went to juvie. You're acting like everyone just used to laugh it off and go "Those crazy teenagers. What're you gonna do? haha". They went to jail. Having worked at a theater back then, anyone that caused trouble was banned from it. We had a list of names and pictures who not to sell to. It was never how you're trying to portray it. Edit: You're probably fine with all the looting and burning too. Those screens cost enough to be a felony charge.

No because the sign clearly says groups and going to see Minions.

Worked at one in the late 80s and early 90s. Was a pain. We hired young adult men to deal with any disruptions. Teenage girls aren't very intimidating. The clean up between shows was the worst. So much crap and that was without stuff like this. Cleaning up smushed bananas? 🤮

@johnsullivan937 It's better to prevent property damage then repair it later. They lose the use of that theater for maybe months with the current supply chain issues. Repairs are costly for a business that already has small profit margins.

Because people use it to do bad things. If people doing that didn't become disruptive and destructive, there would be no problem. You're mad at people trying to prevent expensive damage instead of the people causing it. That sounds like a you problem.

The problem is, especially if it's more than a couple, that's not easy to do. You've got 1 kid working as an usher trying to enforce rules in multiple theaters. Add in 5 people intentionally disrupting the movie for everyone in the theater and that 1 person can be quickly overwhelmed and injured. It's a safety issue.
