  1. He was indeed. It's sad really people aren't aware of this and still use him as some cautionary tale. Now were people accused by normal people that weren't? Yes, but that wasn't McCarthy doing the accusing. I also love how they claim careers were lost forever when that wasn't true either. They are referring to celebrities, many who had been invited and traveled to Russia. All of them had their careers back in less than 2 years. Minus Chaplin who wasn't being arrested for being a Communist, but because he had transported a minor across state lines. It's called child trafficking today.

  2.  @funkydiscogod  They fail to understand there's no such thing as utopia because different people want and desire different things. So looking at it logically, I'd say yes. Stalin got HIS utopia. It just wasn't what most everyone else wanted.
