@Seevawonderloaf So women do housework and the man does the yardwork, fixes broken stuff, maintenance on the house and car, etc. As a woman I'm really tired of people only pointing to cleaning like it's the only thing that's important in maintaining a home. This idea that men are supposed to do literally everything and the woman do nothing simply because she chose to have a career is asinine. Men NEVER did that. Real life wasn't TV shows anymore than it is today.

@stevefitchett6193 To be fair most women didn't want the things women's magazines and feminist were asking for. The majority never wanted that responsibility in the first place but it was forced upon them.

@Andrea-zm1nl When was this time period? Not in US history because the largest slave owner in Louisiana was a black woman which means women could own property. Are you seriously trying to claim the trope of kids thinking kissing will cause pregnancy extends beyond childhood and adult women believed that? How ignorant and stupid you are making women appear thus validating all the claims of why they shouldn't ever have power. I always love this circular logic. "Women were just as intelligent as men and were just denied power because men wanted to keep it all to themselves" and also "women didn't understand how babies were made". Two completely contradictory ideas held simultaneously. Amazing. Edit: My grandmother also owned property in the 1920s so not in 400 years or so that women couldn't own property but you're talking like it was the same time period as when the pill came out. Just like other ridiculous claims like "women couldn't have their own bank account" yes they could if they had a job. That was the same requirements as men had. Women never wanted equality. It was always special treatment.
