  1. I had it and I thought it was allergies. My cousin had it and it was like the worst flu ever. I have Lupus and she has MS. It affects people differently.

  2. I did too. I was tired a couple of days and thought it was just allergies. I'm high risk due to having Lupus. Several in Lupus support group have had it and none of us required hospitalization and only one got really sick.

  4. The US reported the first two cases of H1N1 to the WHO and the world immediately and released the information to create testing and start work on treatments and a vaccine at the same time. So no, every country wouldn't hide a possible pandemic. They didn't with SARS, so it's not like they didn't have experience with this.

  7. It wasn't their resources. It was companies that belonged to other countries that was producing it. It would be the equivalent of us taking possession of all the Toyotas built here. It's a violation of international trade agreements.

  14. Because China lied about when it was person to person and when they knew about the virus. You're very behind. Seattle was the first case we knew about once China reported it person to person. It was in at least California since December.

  15. That's not protecting it's sovereignty. Their sovereignty of what? Killing people? They didn't do this with SARS which also originated in China. They knew the proper procedures and the agreements they have made by joining WHO and other global organizations.

  17.  @33triston  China knew it was person to person January 1st, per doctors in China, and didn't tell the WHO until they went on lockdown. That made it look like they were trying to contain it from the rest of the world. The reality was they encouraged their citizens to travel all over the world for Lunar new year knowing they were spreading the virus. That's my "fish" memory. They announced the virus existed December 31st after reports from doctors since November.

  19. Reduction here in cases. You compare us to 2 countries and ignore the other 100. We have these things called laws and rights and limitations on government. Each state has it's own Constitution that it can't violated as well as the Federal Constitution.

  26. That has nothing to do with hiding information and denying the rest of the world life saving supplies. Had the truth been known by everyone but China how much better would they have been able to prepare for it.
