  1. ​ @1984isnotamanual  I live in Oklahoma. They don't care. This idea that because a handful are offended even though the majority don't care so it's got to be changed is dumb. Most of them understand being a team mascot is honoring their warrior spirit. They're not ashamed of their history and honor their warrior ancestors. A mascot is meant to strike fear in the opponents. Having a Native warrior as one is merely honoring how fearsome they were to face in battle.

It's pretty simple. Native Indian in Oklahoma. Edit: You didn't watch the video. It was approved and done in conjunction with the Congress of Natives and represents the Blackfeet with their blessing. It's not bigoted. My skin color isn't bigoted. If it was then stop calling people "white" too.

  15. ​@someanimefan5990 Anything can be said in a derogatory manner. So should we ban language all together? It's the ritual of putting on war paint. It's not even a reference to our skin color. Which most aren't red, though I certainly have seen some shockingly so.
