Let's say you're writing a mystery, and you want it to be about Jack the Ripper. Lots of mystery and detective novels use him as the villain. You're going to include facts, so you have to research it. That doesn't make your mystery novel a scholarly work. Either you don't know how much research is required in any fictional book with a real-world setting, or you're intentionally being dishonest. It was not listed under fiction in the US, which he sets. Generally speaking, fictional works aren't cited in Britannica. Edit: He "got in over his head" by his own hands. It wasn't accidentally. He put himself in places he knew he didn't belong.

  3. The last point is very damning. That's zero record of that. It wasn't Japan. As per most trade, it began in continent and spread. I find it really weird this need to point to someone to blame when there was other slave trading occurring as well and had been for a lot of history. Academia isn't the place to point fingers. It should be strictly unemotional facts. Edit: It spread to the Middle East, then went overseas. Mainly due to availability and the willingness of the people to participate.   5. ​@harms123 Wrong. Just wrong. Some of it as far as gender roles, yes. However, throughout history, there are found identical roles. Do other mammals that clearly have roles based on sex also have a "social construct"? Even those that don't live in a herd therefore don't fall into the category of having a social group? Sorry but there are clear sexual differences between men and women and this thing called evolutionary traits that determine a lot. I really hope you're not insinuating women are exactly like men just deformed because they failed to develop male sexual organs. Something believed until fairly recent history. These ideas and beliefs are actually moving us backwards, not forwards and I personally find it hilarious how people so uneducated in history and anthropology aren't even aware of it while claiming to be more intelligent forward thinking.

That's tested for in order to find the range that indicates actual use. I worked in a medical lab that did drug urine testing for companies. We'd regularly test to see if certain things would show up to make sure of their continued accuracy. For example testing a worker that had been to a concert the night before where they were surrounded by people smoking pot to see if it would cause a false positive. Hair folical testing is the most accurate testing that there is. It not only shows if the person has used, but how much and for how long.

  9. The idea of gender, which is just a term in language, wasn't directly related to your sex is a very modern day concept. Women or men that didn't fit their societal roles wouldn't have been viewed as a different "gender" but more as deformed or messed up. For example, the 2 spirit people today like to include in the LGBT. Native Americans believed your sex was tied directly to your soul. The soul determined if you were male or female or spirit if you will. So to explain those that didn't perform their roles, they were said to possess both a male and female spirit ie they were both sexes. If you went back in time and told them it was a 3rd gender, they'd look at you like you were crazy because the concept didn't exist. They also weren't treated as special in the way people today like to try to claim. They were treated as less than women. They couldn't hold any position within society. All of this mess falls under the noble savage myth and I have no idea why it continues when it was determined to be racist several years ago.

  12. I was taught multiplication is multiples. 1 multiple is just 1.1 in multiples of 2. 1 in multiples of 3. Or 1×1, 1x2, and 1x3. A multiple of zero then would be zero with the idiot above trying to do some stupid gotcha.

Do you also go around telling lighter skinned Mexicans they're not Mexican? Lighter skinned Natives they're not Natives? Italians and Spaniards aren't considering "white" either. They're Mediterranean. The color of someone's skin is in relation to their closeness to the equator. Games and most entertainment are now made for a global audience, not just Americans. So you need to educate yourself instead of being in a comment section making a fool of yourself. Imagine using a shading chart to try to determine if someone is the race they're ancestry says they are. Insane. Edit: How much sun an individual is exposed to over many years determines their skin color. Including black people. Yes I'm aware it's a fictional character. You're the one trying to claim historical figures that were lighter skinned weren't really this or that, but instead really "white".

  14. Yeah that's not true. A lot of laws went in because of gangs about possession of a firearms and drugs. You do not need to be in public only. Otherwise a lot of gang members wouldn't have been convicted of those same charges. The search warrant wasn't just people saying things. They went over his streams in the document including the white powder on his nose and his clear usage while streaming. They also used Aaron talking about doing drugs, that he'd been in the house (as shown by them streaming together from his house). It was a lot more than 2 court ordered reporters. His wife's sister also spoke to them concerned about the children's wellbeing. Nat the lawyer, who is a former cop, prosecutor, and current defense attorney, went over the official search warrant in detail. It's a pile of evidence. Edit: You can argue the constitutionality of the gun charge, but it's been upheld by the courts since the 90s so unless you can get lucky at the Supreme Court, which is extremely expensive, it ain't going away. I can tell you got your information from Barnes. The problem with him is he views everything as a constitutional issue and even if something has tons of case law behind it, that if he thinks it violates it then it clearly does and needs to be changed. Which is fine if you've got a client that can withstand being in prison the years it takes to even get the Supreme Court appeal and the money to do it.

Just because a child is under the legal authority of CPS, doesn't mean they're placed with strangers. It takes only a few hours to qualify in an emergency situation, which this was. It's paperwork, financial records, an interview, and a quick walk through the house. Financial would be a pay stub which just shows you can afford to care for the child/children.

We had custody of my husband's great nephew for awhile. Approval was very easy. Just financials, a walk through, and interviews with our children.

  40. As someone that's used firearms since I was about 8 or 9, they should be stored separately from the ammo and never left loaded. Then, sure, it's okay if the gun itself is under a bed. Unfortunately he had it under the bed with the ammo. Huge no no. The reason is no matter how well you teach your kids, kids can and will be stupid. They'll push all boundaries and you need to be prepared for that. Edit: All our guns except one were in a locked gun cabinet. The ammo in the locked drawers. He's always been up front that he's libertarian. That said, in the last 2 years he completely changed. He went from only drinking on Friday night streams really late to doing it every stream. From rarely cursing to doing it constantly. From talking about how to respect women and treat them well to bashing them. That's when I stopped watching.

The people he's responding to are claiming not only that they existed but were accepted and referred to as a 3rd gender. Nothing that you posted confirms that. The problem is we're living through a time period of revisionist history in which certain groups claim historical figures for political reasons. Changing the past in an attempt to make it appear more accepting than it was in an attempt to shame their political opposition.

It's not the same thing as the other 2 and does not belong grouped with them. Eunuchs existed too, but they weren't a different gender. They were still considered men. Asexual isn't found in history because sex was seen as a duty. Not like it is today. Having a low sex drive isn't an identity. It's usually caused by a medical reason. That it's now being made into an identity because people are way too freely discussing their sex life with complete strangers is 100% a new concept.
