There's a former Muslim woman who Triggernometry did an interview with and explained this mentality isn't as prevalent in the US as it is in Europe. She said it's because in the US we don't coddle our immigrants. It's welcome and good luck! They have to sink or swim on their own. They've got little choice but to integrate at least mostly. Where as in Europe they are just handed everything and tend to remain segregated mostly from the general population so they don't have to integrate to survive. France is an even more different situation. These are Albanians. France took it over to stop the European slave trade. Unlike Britain and the African slave trade, they refused to stop no matter what was done so it was the only way to stop it. They didn't get their freedom from France until fairly recently. So yes some of these people were born while it was still under French control. They never should have taken them in in such large numbers knowing the resentment that was still there. It was far too early in the process to have done that. Edit: That's why he's giving a very specific number of years. That's the number of years Albania was under French rule.
