@williamdozier5190 I don't agree with that, but I do think if someone is on benefits, they shouldn't get a bigger return than what they paid in. They're already getting that. The bigger issue with our spending is how little of it reaches its destination. 60% of the budget is social programs. Only 30% reaches the individuals it's intended for. That's a huge problem of government employee bloat. Basically 70% is being spent on personnel instead of where it's supposed to go.

@achilleos1 It's not like Russia has hundreds of years of being an expansionist country or their leaders legacy being determined by how much land they add to it. Just like people believe NATO was about communism and not to protect Europe from Russian expansionism. Edit: Americans barely know our own history much less have basic knowledge of Russian or European history to be completely fair.

That's why the polls are turning so dramatically right now. With another Cat 4 coming in behind it. It's not like a tsunami which are rare. Hurricanes hitting are inevitable. Compare this response with the one that hit Puerto Rico under Trump. Multiple military ships waiting off shore stocked with supplies, Army Corp of Engineers ready to hit the ground running, private individuals and companies coordinated and working together quickly, etc. I know for a fact private companies have donated over $1 B to relief work for this last one and there's nothing to show for it. Edit: My husband works at a refinery for 1 big oil company, my oldest at one for another, and my youngest for stations of another. They've all 3 donated 100s of millions. Add in Walmart's donations and those 4 alone reach $1B. Where's it gone? Those people should be having their needs met from that alone.

@DK-sc4hb According to one Democrat operative, they don't think rural area voters in the impacted areas have the resources or the intelligence to figure out how to vote. He highlighted North Carolina and that the wealthy area is a blue dot. That they'll have the resources available to do so, but the poors won't. It was disgusting to listen to.

I gotta say good on this guy. The editing over her word salads to explain she's not really saying anything concrete was great. He's going to be attacked for mansplaining, but at least his integrity is intact. Edit: I do wish when asking her how she's going to pay for everything they'd bring up the capital gains tax.

Except in the interview with Tucker, Putin said it had little influence on him invading. That it was that Ukraine has historically been part of Russia. In actuality, it's because those 2 regions he'd pushed civil war in give Russia land access to Crimea and the sea. One of very few Russian naval bases. I'm sure though it has nothing to do with that being a strategic position or the recently discovered oil. It's not like countries will invade other weakers countries for strategic reason or resources. That's not been the reason for the vast majority of wars throughout human history. Nope. It's for some other reason. Leaders don't lie.
