@ocularisvanleer5789 That's my basic understanding of it. That you can run up as high of a debt as you want because supposedly a country can't go bankrupt. Just ignore all the many many times throughout history that's occurred from countries that created their own currency too. If it was a simple as print more, do they really think that's never been tried before? Of course it has and it's followed by hyper inflation. Look at Venezuela or Argentina as very modern day examples.

Of course not. Lower class shouldn't "thrive" because then they wouldn't be lower class. If you moved everyone to the middle class then the middle class becomes the lower class and everyone above moves down. Then the cost of living goes up to compensate. Today is a good example. Pretty much anyone in the lower class today would be considered middle class just 70 or so years ago because of the goods and services they have access to.

They don't say that. They say the government agencies will shutdown because they won't have the budget allowance to pay them. Don't confuse a few agencies with the country. The military or the FBI workers not being paid doesn't equal the entire country being bankrupt.
