@princessl651 We're always forgotten. I've seen tons of articles that just blur us into Millennials or Boomers or just skip those years completely.

@BlackConservativePerspective That's a horrible article with lots of contradictions in it and it skips Gen X, as most do because we're invisible because we're small. An example of it contradicting itself is when it gets to charities and says 73% don't spend on things their family does but then in the next sentence says 51% does support charities their family does. So which is it? Bad article. Edit: If you followed the link that says that, that article says it's a potential and only talks about Millennials. It never mentioned Gen Z. That original article also says Boomers will live longer and are spending much more than previous generations so it's not likely if they'll be much left to inherit for many. Basically it's saying it looks like there will be less to inherit from Boomers than there was from previous generations, though that's still a possible significant amount.

@binmyrtmind The Silent Generation is the name of the generation before Baby Boomers. Nobody is saying you're silent. It's just the term used to refer to the generation between the Greatest Greatest generation and the Baby Boomer generation.

It goes beyond school and it's carried over into business. We all thought when they went to work, they'd get slapped with reality because businesses weren't going to put up with it. Unfortunately they've become so concerned with attracting workers they changed practices to suit the incoming generations. That started with Millenials and is ongoing. Used to they relied on the fact people needed a job so people were forced to conform. Now there are seminars telling management how to change office practices to suit the next generation. Musk refused and it slapped that group in the face and as these layoffs keep going it's going to happen more. Gen Z isn't getting wealth from Boomers. Their parents are Millennials and some Gen X. Gen X has much less accumulated wealth because it's been spent taking care of our parents and children. The 4 recessions we've been through hasn't helped either. Gen X and Millennials will benefit from Boomers passing on wealth and by the time it gets to Gen Z, most of it will be gone.

@utopiandreamer04 Yes Gen X is the first families of Boomers and some Silent Gen. Millennials are their second family after they divorced the first.
