I hope all Republicans vote for it, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It would help them in the midterms if they do because this is something supported by almost everyone. Edit: This goes too far, but it would be reworked in the other chamber. The Founders were clear that people in Congress shouldn't give up their businesses. I'm fine with banning trading while in office, but they shouldn't have to give up everything. It's almost like it's intentionally written to fail. The president already has to give up all interests. Everyone remembers Trump handing control to Eric his first term.
