@randybaumery5090 Male therapists get involved with their patients too. Patients sometimes have transference which causes them to become obsessed with their therapist and believe they are in love with them. Ethically the therapist should immediately refer them to someone else if they suspect that is happening. Just like every other profession, some of them aren't ethical and take advantage of the situation. I'm a child psychologist. I didn't go into it because I get my rocks off listening to horrible abuse stories from children. I did it to help children get out of those situations and deal with the damage that it's done to them. The only therapist that deal with what your talking about are sex therapists. Contrary to what you're attempting to portray, that's an extremely small group. Edit: It's a field women like for the same reason they dominate the nursing field. It's the nurture aspect of women causing them to want to help and heal.

I wasn't required to take that course in the early 90s, but it people that like playgrounds was covered in my abnormal psych class. Like others, treatment options were discussed as well as the tendency to reoffend, but nothing that you described was mentioned.

I saw it there too. So I was aware of this story already. It's horrific.

@Chandler Burse Most conservative history professors aren't saying that. What they are saying is that ONLY the bad stuff is being taught. So either way isn't a complete picture. Nuances are removed completely. For example, yes Washington and Jefferson owned slaves (Jefferson did not father a child by one according to DNA testing even though some teach he did). They also both did not like the institution and wrote it as the largest section of the Declaration of Independence. However it was removed because 2 colonies didn't agree and they everything in there had to be agreed upon by all 13. The negotiation during the writing of the Constitution was that it would end in 20 years. The invention of the cotton gin made it much more profitable so that didn't occur. Nobody is taught that part so they're taught they were racist horrible people so everything they created is based on that. Also the first regularly published works in the colonies was the weekly sermon by a black pastor. It needs to be taught correctly and not in away to influence but to simply inform. Edit: I was taught about the bad people that owned slaves, but also about families that would purchase a family to keep them together, educate them, and release them and leave them property upon their death. The reason it was upon their death is because it wasn't legal to free them before then. Nuance.

Looked into that. He explained what he meant. He was not advocating that because he grew up in an abusive home. He was commenting on marriage being sacred back then and that non married couples are more likely to experience violence and abuse than married ones, which is the trick he was referring to. That marriage being looked at now as disposable has created generations of broken children. Being from the latchkey generation, I agree with that. We know children in a 2 parent household are the most likely to succeed, yet we treat marriage like it's no big deal and not even neccessary anymore. That's resulting in single parent households which greatly reduces a child's odds of success. Then we look at these generations wondering why they are how they are.

The US used orphans to experiment on, but not like this. Medical experiments, so still bad. I knew about this from the Lotus Eaters, but good to see other channels pick it up. This is a good example of why academia shouldn't be given free reign over things. It should always be scrutinized by those outside of it so things like this can be caught and called out. Blind trust in anything or anyone is never a good thing.

@Chandler Burse Which capital riot because there were 3. The one on the 6th I don't see anyone defending the ones that committed actual violence. They are defending the ones who were let in by Capital police who did nothing but walk in when invited. It also doesn't justify them being held in solitary for over a year and denied bond. The only person that died to violence was Ashley Babbitt who was shot by police. The people that burned Guard shacks, caused hundreds of injuries for police and secret service, burned the national church, and forced the President into a bunker were released and not charged. The one during Kavennaugh's hearing that the proceedings continually interrupted and thousands Occupy Congressional buildings nobody was charged. Maybe you mean Oklahoma City which saw a vote disrupted, protesters jump onto the floor of Congress, and threaten members of Congress done by BLM? You really need to be more specific because a lot of Capitals had riots. Edit: It should be noted that had Miller done the job he said he was going to do recorded in a meeting the day before which included more security and activating the National Guard, Jan 6th wouldn't have happened.

One of the largest child sex trafficking rings in the US was run by gay men. If you look into the Gacy case you'll find out more than was released at the time. He had a partner and a box full of phone numbers, P.O.Boxes, and young men's names in a list format and lots of young boy CP. I'm sure just due to population size there are larger rings now. Everytime they'd find one of the men, the group would move and change everything. Very few were ever caught.
