  1. As a Boomer, she wouldn't. In many areas of the US, it was illegal to say that word. Especially in public. That's why Gen X said it so much. While it was a misdemeanor and you'd only get fined, it was still a breach of the 1st Amendment. So we said it, a LOT, to force it to stop being enforced. Because we said it so much as teenagers and young adults, it became a habit. That said, I personally never said it around my children until they were in high school. It would slip out from my husband when he'd stub his toe or his knee hit a table leg. That kind of thing. Edit: Cussing in public fell under lude behavior laws which is things like peeing in public. Lude conduct should never include speech.

  2. I'm going to defend the feeding at 3 months. 6 months is a guideline, not a hard rule. Each baby is different. If they open their mouth when you put a spoon near it, they're ready to start eating something like baby cereal which is what was on the spoon. It's mixed with their formula or breast milk. My oldest started eating at around that age and my youngest refused until 8 months old. He had trouble keeping the formula down ( I couldn't breastfeed due to the medications I have to take), but had no issues with the cereal and later baby food. It helped satisfy him where the formula did not. Is that the case with that woman? I don't know, but just starting to feed them at 3 months isn't some sort of abuse or horrible for the child. You obviously don't exclusively feed them cereal or baby food at that age. It's more of a supplement to the bottle. Edit: I also cound not tolerate baby formula as an infant and was eventually put on goat's milk. Yes, we're both lactose intolerant. I put him on the lactose free formula and while he tolerated it better, he still had problems and wasn't satisfied.
