I'm not even sure it's morality rather than a blind hatred of Russia. They're willing to let Ukraine eventually fall to end a few Russians and hurt Putin just a little. This was not the attitude when he invaded Georgia just a few years ago. It was diplomacy and end it quickly then.

Ukrainian is not and has never been a US ally. Russia is also not an ally. The US shares a border with Russia. There is only 30 miles of water between us. We're not "ignorant" either. The taxpayers are tired of going into debt protecting other countries that can't be bothered to try to protect themselves. The day may come when we're not around or a super power and your countries need to be able to handle things on your own. Like a parent tells their child when it's time to grow up and take care of yourself. The parent will always be there to help if they fall, but they've got to stop relying on the parents for everything.

@Uelibertiga You think the government controls the price of eggs? There's this virus called bird flu. It tends to kill an entire flock very quickly. Now chicken houses where they grow before being shipped to be made into food and where the egg producers holds thousands of chickens. So a virus like that will kill them all because like viral phenomena, it gets in their water and food. There was an outbreak that resulted in the destruction of millions of chickens. Primarily the egg producers. Chickens take a bit to hatch and then mature enough to start laying eggs. Plus you've got to sort the boys from the girls because boy ones don't lay eggs. That results in a supply shortage which increases prices because the supply doesn't meet the demand. The more of something that's available, the cheaper it is. The less of something that's available, the more it costs. Where I am and the surrounding areas wasn't hit by it so our egg prices haven't gone up that much. California lost all their chickens and over half their cattle so the prices there and the areas they supply are very expensive. It has absolutely nothing to do with military spending or the egg prices would always be the price they are now. Edit: I'm from an area with a massive number of chicken farms and know several chicken farmers.

Have you looked at a map? I haven't even watched what you're referring to in the video, but I know, as does Zelensky, that they can't win. All they can do now is slow him a little. Did you say this when Russia invaded Georgia and diplomacy ended it in a couple of weeks? Did you watch when Zelensky admitted Ukraine is in trouble? Zelensky was asking for 1 more year to try to win back some territory. That's not someone that thinks they can defeat Russia. Since Trump won, Ukraine forces have been attempting to take areas that will give them better bargaining and have only lost more ground. That's not "Russian talking points". It's reality.

Yeah, no. I don't want a global government and be a global citizen.

Have you tried this nifty tool called searching the internet? You can't post links in YouTube. It's best to learn stuff for yourself rather than ask to be spoon fed information.

I've seen leaders post that. It's quiet sickening. Hundreds of thousands if not a million lives lost. The destruction. The displacement. The living in constant fear that it'll reach you. For a war they were never going to win. It was always, at least in my understanding, to hold them off as much as possible until a settlement could be reached. Because the more people Putin lost and longer it took, the more willing he'd be to negotiate.

Point out to me any legal war. I won't hold breath. The whole "illegal" thing is incredibly dumb. If Ukrainians wish to do so, they're free to. That doesn't mean my tax dollars should help them end themselves and have no country. How is a peace deal going to make Ukraine no longer a sovereign country? We're not acting out of fear. We're using commonsense. Trying to be a neutral party to negotiate permanent peace. The minerals deal puts US businesses, workers, and a huge amount of our own interests into Ukraine. Creating a permanent alliance. Protecting Ukraine from futher aggression because it establishes a DMZ right along what would be the border with Russia that will contain said US industries and workers. It cuts a lot of the US reliance on China for those goods and puts Ukraine as an extremely valuable partner.

Nobody is offering all of Ukraine. It will still exist minus the areas Putin wants that gives Russia land access to the navy base in Crimea. This isn't about Ukraine belonging to Russia or some other mess. It's about strategic defense for Russia. Every war the side that's the aggressor spins a narrative to make what they're doing more palpable to the population. The reason is almost always the place they're attacking has something the country needs or wants that's of strategic or economic value.

The feelings about Putin and Trump probably stem from Putin all but openly admitting Trump intimidates him. He stated openly that Trump told him if he invaded he'd flatten Moscow to the ground and Putin believed he would. Which is why he didn't make a move until Biden got in.

You do know Ukraine can't win right? It's been 3 years and almost an entire generation of young men lost. Close to $400 billion spent by other countries. Even Zelensky admitted his country's in trouble. He wants to extend it for 1 year in some hope that he'll manage to win back some territory. Just ignore he's running out of bodies. I know you're willing to "support" Ukraine (whatever that is on a personal level) until the last Ukrainian falls and Putin takes the entire thing, but maybe it's past time for the death and destruction to stop, the US create a DMZ around the area the minerals are, and start rebuilding. The area is just on the other side of the current line. Some of it is on the other side of the front line that Trump likely can get Putin to relinquish. The guarantee that he won't invade again is US businesses and workers on that line. It's an alliance through shared interest rather than a formal one. Putin wouldn't risk US involvement by accidentally hitting US targets.
1
Do you really think Russia would? It's not us that would be risking it. It creates an alliance between the US and Ukraine. It's a work around to NATO because if Putin invaded again it would be a direct threat to the US. It also reduces US reliance on China for those resources weakening them a bit.

I think it's war between dark and dark. Neither country is what I'd consider good. Both are extremely corrupt with little in the way of real rights. Of course since Ukraine a part of Russia so long, it's not surprising they function similarly. Zelensky has his oligarchs to answer to and Putin has his.
