  2.  @trash.heap.collective  I had pre-eclampsia with both my pregnancies. Do you know the cure? Giving birth. Either way the baby has to come out. Dead or alive is completely irrelevant because it's the hormones causing the high blood pressure. They don't reduce until several days after giving birth. Meaning, there's no medical reason to terminate the pregnancy. Pre-eclampsia doesn't occur until the baby is near viability or most commonly midway through the 3rd trimester. There's no way to predict it will occur before it does so a doctor or nurse claiming you'll get it so you need to terminate is bs. My first pregnancy was high risk from the start because my cervix wasn't tightening like it should risking him just falling out. My pre-eclampsia didn't happen until 3 weeks to my due date. My second was high risk once pre-eclampsia showed during the 8th month. Even then, you have time before you risk going toxic. I was induced 3 weeks after my blood pressure first was high and was fine. I didn't even need to be induced with the first. I was however given blood pressure medication during labor during the first because it was getting dangerously high. Perfectly fine as long as you aren't breastfeeding. You have no idea what you're talking about. Sorry, but your friends first mistake was going to Planned Parenthood instead of an OB where they'd be given every possible scenario including how likely anything bad would happen instead of just generic "very risky." With my first everything that could be done was laid out to me clearly. Every possible medical intervention to save it and the odds of it being successful. Including what would be done if attempts were unsuccessful if I got pregnant again to ensure success the next time. Edit: Nobody walks into PP without already having decided their choice. So saying that's where you're friend went spoke volumes. Those looking to try if at all possible go to pregnancy centers.
