People cared. Politicians didn't. Wasteful spending has been a complaint of voters for a long time. The problem has been nobody in power cared. The deficit has been a concern for years, but politicans just kept spending. Edit: Things like only 30% of the budget for social services reaches the people it's for. Social services is the largest part of our budget, but 70% of that money gets eaten by the bureaucracy. That's why we spend more on health care than any other country. Most of it isn't actually paying for health care, but for every person that takes a cut on the way down.

I've been surprised at how many regular people are upset there's an audit. Either they're in a bubble and believe Musk is doing more than just looking and posting where the money's going or they're benefiting from it somehow.

I'm enjoying them trying to call it aid and that some of that aid goes to citizens. They're betting on people being too stupid to know AID doesn't stand for aid. Bringing Bill Gates on to say millions will die.

@Aaron-fo1sy She shouldn't be monetized on social media. When someone enters office they have to divest from everything else. If she's making a lot of money from social media that will influence her decisions when it comes to them. Speaking fees has long been a way for large corporations and lobbying groups to funnel money to politicians for favorable decisions. Just like Congress has made it legal for them to engage in insider trading. They've made themselves exempt from it. Book deals too is how money is laundered to them. They write a book and large donors make large orders. That's why Bernie was able to buy his 3rd house and finally be a millionaire after he bowed out for Hillary. His book deal was his payoff. We know this because honest politicians like Thomas Massey aren't shy about spilling the beans about how it works in DC. He refuses to engage in any of that stuff. He's explained multiple times why when someone enters Congress even if they're just a regular person doing it for the right reasons they become almost immediately corrupted. Edit: If you want to know who's honest and who's benefiting themselves from their position, look at how they answer if Congress should be barred from trading while in office because they control the bills that impact companies and their stock prices. They know what's coming before anyone else. If they say yes, they're honest. If they say no, they're using their position to enrich themselves. AOC says no. That she "needs" to own multiple houses. She also committed campaign violations by paying her boyfriend with campaign donations. You're either young or just became politically aware because everything I typed has been known for decades.

The gaslighting by left leaning MSM is crazy. Trying to frame USAID as an aid department that includes aid for citizens is wild. They think because the acronym spells aid they can make it that. Unfortunately, there will be people dumb enough to fall for it. Speading what those letters stand fir should be a huge goal.

Republican hands aren't clean. Several Republicans are in there too. Like Bill Krystal. A person who hasn't had a position in government since Bush, Jr and hates Trump. I looked into him and found out neocon aren't just warhawks. They're socialists. And the current crazy leftists come from "The New Left" from the 60s and 70s. Neocons broke away from the Democratic Party because of social disagreements and not economic and consider themselves Democratic socialists. Including him.
