For example, the death rate for those under 18 is 0%. While yes some have died, it's such a small percentage it's negligible. It's lower than the flu for those under 50. Then it starts to increase. The overall death rate, calculating for the positives that never went to the doctor is 0.2 or 0.3%. It's 99.7% survival rate. Edit: That's according to WHO and the CDC to be clear. That was for the orginal strain and is slightly lower or equal in Delta. Edit 2: The average age of death is over 75. The average lifespan is 73. So it's primarily killing people who have already outlived the norm.

The thing about that small study is that we've known you don't get as good of natural immunity from a very mild or asymptomatic case of the virus. So unless they detailed how severe the case was for everyone in that study, it's a flawed study. So far WHO and other scientists in other countries are saying that a moderate to severe case appears to give lifelong natural immunity just like occurs with every other virus. As long as it imprints to your T cells, you'll be able to produce antibodies against it.
