Tim if an election law was enacted that was unconstitutional, it wasn't a legitimate election. It doesn't change who the President is. It's to make sure there's a historical record of it. We've had several Presidents that were elected fraudulently. We make sure there's a record stating what happened and how. There's no way to know if the outcome would have been different, but what is clear is that those laws were unconstitutional which means the election wasn't legitimate in that state. Edit: Please stop the attempt at legal analysis. You have no clue what you're talking about. The Supreme Court is supposed to hear disputes between states. Any federal election, especially President, directly impacts every state. So the "no standing" was being used to just reject the case because they didn't want to be responsible for any fallout. That's not unusual for the Supreme Court and it factors into what cases they choose to hear every session.
