Unfortunately, the people pushing these things aren't new in the LGBT community. They fought against gay marriage because they wanted the energy to remain so they could add things like this into it. The woman that's the chair of the organization in my town is one of those people and she's older than me and I'm pushing 50. My son is doing drag and she tried to get him to do the storytime stuff. He refused and other members pushed back against it, but not all. She was rejected by the state group because she's radical. Until the LGBT+ community pushes back like they did then, they are going to get caught in the crossfire. They need to be vocal and visible at the protests against this stuff. That's the best weapon against it and the best way to protect themselves.
