@Astronopolis Except that was NEVER the point of the lockdowns. It wasn't to stop people from getting it. That's impossible. It was to keep the infection rate low to prevent overwhelming the hospitals. It never was about saving grandma. That narrative started after when these power hungry governors refused to give up power so switched to an emotional play. You fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Edit to add: That's why my Republican governor based the lockdown restrictions only on the number of hospitalizations and those on vents. Which is what it should have all been based on across the board. Businesses were only closed for a little over a month, and other than masks, it's been mostly normal here since then. We've never been close to overwhelming our system and we're a small, poor, rural state.

@JackHaveman52 You're arguing two different dates. The news the vaccines were ready and awaiting FDA approval was held until after the election, not the inauguration.

@hadtocheathimtobeathim6549 It's been an issue long before the virus, it's just escalated. There's a reason we had roof Koreans during the LA riot and why that group attacked that neighborhood when they were rioting over police brutality.

@chrispatzelt6480 They have been in the added unemployment every week. They extended benefits to jobs that normally don't get them. Why is everyone forgetting about that part? It's an extra $1200 a month. So yeah that equals the amount a stimulus check would be. We went out of town shopping and had to grab dinner while there. We had to go to 3 different restaurants to find a place that had enough on staff to operate halfway decently. It's because they are making more money to stay home so the open positions aren't being filled.

Tim since you're supposedly big on informing people, where's your video on the US backed blockade in Yemen causing a horrific humanitarian crisis of children starving to death? If you don't want to defend Biden, that's a good issue for you not to.

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one. I was flipping it off at that point. When he said he was going to traveling to every state to talk about stuff, I had a mental image of throwing tomatoes at him.
