Communism stagnates innovation because you can't magically know what someone is capable of at birth and there's no incentive to produce better things. It also creates a system built on lies to the point no one knows how much is really being produced which is why it has always caused massive famine. If your life depends on how much you get workers to produce, you'll lie to protect yourself. That's why Mao was telling his citizens to eat 5 meals a day while there was mass starvation and famine. He thought they were producing amounts unimaginable before, when in reality it was all a lie. As long as he and those around him were well feed, he didn't know what was happening outside the circle he created. His subordinates even went so far as to plant close to the roadways so it looked like they were producing what they said, because if they didn't produce, they went to a work camp prison or worse death. That's Communism every single time. If you want that, there are plenty of places that already suit your desire without forcing your wish on everyone else.
