  1.  @fraserfir19  As someone who just purchased solar panels for my roof, I'm not claiming to be doing it for environmental reasons. I'm fully aware that it's not a solution, but creates more problems later when they need to be disposed of. I did not purchase a battery unit because it's too expensive. I will not buy an EVS because they don't meet my needs. They are completely impractical for how I live. That's the difference between someone like me and someone this person is referring to. I'm not claiming anything I do is for anyone or anything else. It's not a status signal or virtue signal for me. It's reducing my costs as much as possible so I can afford to feed my family. Edit: You missed the point completely of the commentor. They are saying it's a red pill for environmentalists. People like me are already red pilled and aren't living in a fantasy land believing "green" energy will save us all.
