This isn't new in comics and it's why they're out sold by manga. DC and Marvel comics are going bankrupt because they went all in on the SJW diversity narrative. They hired based on boxes ticked rather than talent. This isn't even the worst of it. It's been like this for close to 10 years now. That's the stories that the new Marvel movies will be based on. The new Dr. Strange movie is a good introduction to it. You've got American Chavez who comes from a planet of lesbians that somehow can reproduce. There's no explanation of why her name is American when it doesn't exist on her planet or universe or why she's Hispanic/Latino. That's the deep thinking that's been going into this trash. Even Captain America doesn't want to represent the systemically racist US anymore. That's why nobody is buying this trash. Surprised it took you this long to notice. It's not a decay in our culture though because it's being rejected. It's what they want to turn our culture into. Edit: Good comics are being supported by crowd funding. Mainly on Indigo go.
