  1. Me and hubby just bought solar panels for our house for the same reason. They asked if we were interested because it's green energy and both automatically said no. We had a generator wired into our old house. With them trying to get rid of gas, we figured this was the best choice now to make sure we always have electricity. It also locks in our energy costs. It's a win win and when they need to replace, we'll be dead and it's someone else's problem.
