I'm sorry, but nobody gets to pick and choose which parts of the Constitution are valid. Just like you don't want them ignoring the 2nd amendment, you don't get to ignore that the founders included you lose your rights if you're a criminal. You don't just loose the 2nd. You're no different than a non citizen living or visiting the country. It's not that difficult to avoid committing a felony. For those saying stuff like "we believe in 2nd chances" and "prison is supposed to be rehabilitation", no. Those are very new concepts. Prison is punishment and second chances isn't anywhere in the founding documents. Which is why we went the opposite of law at the time by saying innocent until proven guilty and better to let 100 guilty go free than convict an innocent person.
