They already had to admit they'd been off on their user count for the last 3 years, and it's the second time that's occurred. Twitter is a house of cards and it's about to come tumbling down.

@robonator2945 Sending automated messages about a stream even everyday from your personal account has nothing to do with what was asked. The question was about a single person running multiple accounts. It's 2 completely different things. So I don't know why you felt the need to write a book about a completely different thing. The answer to the original comment is still yes because advertisers are paying for their product being shown to different people, not the same person repeatedly. A single person using multiple accounts to make it appear there are more individuals than there really is, is indeed botting. People get paid to do it by organizations to make the issue they need funded seem bigger than it really is. It's fraud.

From the moment it came out he was the largest individual shareholder, it was going to be a win win for Musk. It didn't take a genius to figure out Twitter and a lot of the tech and streaming services are a financial ponzi scheme. They rely on new users joining just like a ponzi scheme relies on new people putting money in. Once new people/users start slowing down, the whole thing unravels. The new user or daily user numbers keep investors investing, keeping the company afloat.

Streaming services and Twitter are finally being revealed as the ponzi scheme they are. Economic downturns always make things interesting.

Then that would mean Twitter committed fraud in it's filings. That lets Musk out of the deal and Twitter becomes worthless. They'll be fined and sued into oblivion leaving Musk able to pick it up for next to nothing if he still wants it at the end of it all.

@thatlittlevoice6354 That still makes it fraud. They sign a deal to provide a service for a certain amount of money. If they aren't providing that service it's fraud even if they wrote it off on their taxes. They still spent money on it. There would also be federal fraud charges for fraudulent financial reporting to the government.

It explains the sudden shift in followers that happened within 48 hours too. Now we know Twitter banned a bunch of suspected bots and unbanned a bunch of individual accounts in an attempt to make the numbers work better.
