  1. That bill gave 60 acres to anyone based only on their race. They didn't even have to work the land. How does that "help farmers"? I looked at it because a case of a guy that used black only available business loans ,but he looked huwhite. So the government challenged him, he produced DNA that shows he's descended from black people, and won. I was going to try that since my biological dad is half black to grab up some acreage. If you only attempted to farm it for 2 years, the government would pay off the loan. You didn't have to be successful, you didn't have to know what you were doing, you only had to work a portion of it for 2 years. It was also going to do that by taking farms from huwhite farmers and giving them to black people. Again, they don't have to know what they're doing. So the government was going to take the farm from someone who has been working the land and feeding the population and give it to someone who doesn't have a clue how to grow anything based on their skin color. It was a disgusting piece of legislation and the Supreme Court was right to strike it down. Edit: Before someone tries to claim the farmers had to willingly give up the land, that was only if they were able to meet the goal per year. If they couldn't or didn't, it authorized imminent domain to forcibly take the land.
