  2. The views are from ads running during other videos. That goes to the view count so they know how many people their advertising dollars get. Those aren't people seeking it out and watching it voluntarily.

  3. If you can't tell it already is from what they've released, then I don't know what to tell you. They've changed from calling it an adaptation to saying it's inspired by and based on. They are now trying to distance themselves from the wrath of the fans.
