  1. It's tough. Even though I have brothers when my parents got sick and passed away it all fell on me. My dad had a rare aggressive form of stomach cancer and died within 3 months of diagnosis. My mom had 7 heart attacks and it was a hernia that twisted that finally got her. She got sepsis and didn't survive. Be there for them as much as you can. I know it's hard to see strong people withering away but it's important to have no regrets when they're gone.
