  2. That would be from tax filings. Your bank sends a record on every account that draws interest which is pretty much everyone of them to varying degrees. There’s a form sent to the account holder and the IRS with the interest amount, amount at the start of the year, and amount at the end of the year. Edit: It’s for if your filing an itemized return instead of taking the basic deduction and so you can, or your accountant can, figure it both ways and which ones gets the best return or least taxes.

  3. The $600 was they wanted every digital transaction of $600 or more to reported. It was basically dropping the current $10,000 automatic report down to $600. Congress voted it down so the current administration did a work around. Similar to the Supreme Court saying they couldn’t pay off student debt but they did it anyway. So glad my money is paying the debt of people with Master Degrees and PhDs who will make far more than me over their lifetime.

  7. No it’s not. I don’t know who told you that but they lied. You don’t need to increase the overall number to just replace positions left open by retirement. When someone retires in your office hiring someone to fill their position doesn’t increase the number of employees. You maintain the current employee numbers. This is ADDITIONAL employees. It doesn’t require an act of Congress every time someone retires in the IRS.

  8. I honestly don’t understand your comment. They do not know how much you put in the slot machine. Do you really think Natives or Vegas casinos are going to let the government anywhere near their stuff? If you do you need to learn history. The reason they know your winnings is because a tax person is required on premises and anything over a certain amount, and it’s pretty high, has to be immediately reported. Everything else is filed quarterly. As someone that goes often and has won collectively several thousand over the years, I’ve never declared my winnings on my taxes nor been audited.

  13. It’s possible. They can audit as far back as 3 or 5 years. So there’s the fine plus interest on both the fine and the amount owed. As I said in another post, this was rampant in the 80s when the IRS was allowed to aggressively pursue illegal drug money. It of course didn’t remain in that vein long. A ton of just everyday citizens who just didn’t file one tiny thing we’re losing everything they had. Eventually Congress acted and squished them. Mainly because they feared getting a letter saying they were being audited.

He immediately went to work on securing funding for the wall and got blocked by Republicans. He then took it from the military surplus budget which went to court. He won the case an immediately started getting things moving. It just unfortunately was his last year in office by the time it was settled. His tax cuts benefited 80% of the taxpayers. Having been in the middle class they were great. They’ve expired now and my taxes are insane.
