  3.  @cosmictreason2242  It's a nonprofit, not a company. Which is why them referring to it as one in the letter is odd. No nonprofit worries about viability because they just solicit more funding. Considering some of the expenditures I've seen on nonprofit tax returns, that amount they're complaining about is extremely small.

  5.  @ericsigwing7249  He is correct. My husband worked for a Union. His position came with a company laptop and printer. When he stepped down, it was considered his to keep. Things like that are tax write offs so most companies don't really care. One of their money complaints was him renting a car instead of taking an uber and claimed the IRS prefers ubers. That means this is about changes to IRS and accounting that may no longer be considered by the IRS as acceptable expenditures. So rather than admit due to that their expenditures increased and justifying it to donors they decided to lump a bunch of stuff together and try to kill two birds with the stone provided to them. I seriously doubt it was all and I have no idea what was being discussed and promised under the table. I'm just going by the list of grievances James happily provided. Almost everything they listed is write offs for nonprofits by the IRS and businesses. I pay attention to the public tax records of nonprofits I'm thinking of donating to. What they've listed as excessive expenditures doesn't touch what comparable nonprofits spend. They spend millions on retreats and donation parties with little going toward the actual cause. PV past records indicate a pretty modest amount. Of course James salary is also much smaller than most nonprofits of PVs size.

  6. On the video he released his recording crew already was. Board members had been trying to convince them James was dirty and bad. They took screenshots and showed all communications to James.

  8. OMG that was horrible. Papa John was done disgustingly. All because he cared about the people doing the actual work and gave them great benefits and bonuses. His bonus structure was bottom up instead of top down. Upper management were the last to get anything because it was the workers that made Papa John a success.

  9. James has built up his following since he was a teenager. PV is just a name. The support and donations were always for James.

  10. I'm not so sure. Judging by comments made publicly after the leak, which should have been a real concern, I think they thought James wouldn't do anything. I think they believed his pride and ego over his baby would have him go along with everything and just become a face for them.
