@rustyshackleford6035 Why? Women in red states vote too. Outlawing or heavily regulating abortion is supported strongly by women in those states. My previous state was 85% support and my new one is hovering around 90% prolife. They decided diplomatically what they wanted which is how it's supposed to work. Had people not filed lawsuits to challenge the regulations of 15 weeks (pretty standard in Europe) Roe would still be there. They had to try to force their will on the majority and got slapped down. Edit: They interfered in a perfectly legal, perfectly allowed restriction according to previous decisions. 100% their own fault.

Then those people should be prosecuted and lose custody. Those things are already illegal and there are agencies and laws in place to deal with that. Only 6% of them are done for financial reasons. Middle class women account for the bulk of them. Less than 1% are done because of the exceptions 99.9% of the population agree with. With the availability of birth control and things like the morning after pill and the abortion pill, there's no longer a real need for it as long as people take responsibility. Democratic policy is for unrestricted abortions at every stage which is insane. A couple of states are even pushing for post birth ones. This was always a bad decision and the court legislating from the bench. Now it goes back to the states for the democratic process to take place and decide.

@mandolorian9893 Is that a joke? Men are already jailed if they don't pay it and the state pays for the woman to pursue them as long as they can prove he's the father.

I'm personally pro-choice, but I'm happy about this decision. Had these organizations funded by Democrats not challenged these laws that fell well within the Dobbs decision, Roe would still be there. Every lawyer in Congress, and there are a lot, knew that it would eventually be overturned due to the nature of the decision. Rather than try to codify it, like a couple of Presidents promised to get elected, it would be a non issue. They didn't because they needed to keep it a wedge issue for fundraising and votes. They made their choices and now THEY have to face the consequences of them. Edit: It's not really about r@pe, incest, or life of the mother. Oklahoma has those exceptions and they're still salty. I live in Oklahoma. Only a couple hundred max protested when it was signed into law here.

@LT-et5rr Men are already held responsible if a woman chooses to have the baby. It's called child support. If they don't pay it, they can be jailed and have their wages and tax returns garnered. Men are told if they didn't want to pay for a child, they should be more careful. Now women have to do the same. Equality.
