I really don't know where people are getting you're not allowed at all to hunt them. Bald Eagles is a huge no-no because they're an endangered species. Canada geese are not.

  3. ​​​ @pacobell97  That's not what native means. I know it's hard, but words have multiple definitions. In this case, (of plant or animal) of indigenous origin or growth. Native Americans developed a unique DNA which occurs after 7,000 years of genetic separation. Unless you've been here that long, you're not a Native American. Just like potatoes aren't native to Ireland. They're native to South America. Edit: The difference is, I have no problem saying someone is the native population of Europe, Africa, or Asia. Are you saying those places don't have a native population? We've been here an estimated 30,000 years. Europe was populated 40,000 years ago. So if we're nit, they're not.

  4. Untrue about Canada geese. Not Canadian BTW. Canada. Bald Eagles are endangered which is why you can't even have their feathers. It's to prevent poaching by shutting off all avenues of profit for it. The Migratory Bird Act heavily restricts when and where you can hunt, but doesn't outlaw it completely. Edit: Only Natives are allowed eagle feathers for religious ceremonies. They must be obtained by finding them loose. It's why saying wearing a headress is cultural appropriation is so stupid. What they sell has nothing to do with their ceremonies. Those are just turkey feathers. The ones used in ceremonies are never sold.
