  1. He was saying men shouldn't be speaking about this at all because it's about women. It's a common SJW talking point. That only women can have opinions about things to do with women, black people can only talk about things that affect black people, etc. They don't even understand that a parent should have any say in what will impact their children's lives as they grow up.

  2.    The person winning the medals usually gets more than just the medal. It comes with money and/or scholarships to attend college. Who's "winning" isn't a question because life isn't a game. They both are doing things to try to improve themselves and working towards their future. You've built a lovely strawman and it's currently on fire, but you keep trying to put more straw in it anyway. Edit: Competition has nothing to do with anything you've tried to claim. It's existed in every society throughout time and is a part of the animal kingdom. It's not a thing because of capitalism or the patriarchy. It's also hilarious that you're blaming everyone and everything else because a person was bad. People compete with each other to become Valedictorian so according to you, that's bad.
