  1. Oh this just takes the cake. I was willing to give the chick playing Galadriel the benefit of the doubt. That she's just an actor. Not now. Her first thought was correct after she read the books. That is the way it is because it's Tolkien's world, not hers or anyone else's. There are hundreds if not thousands of fantasy books with female leads that would have been just fine. But no. They've got to destroy the original one. The one that a man dedicated his entire life to and even created new languages for. They want to act like those other books don't exist because otherwise it means they aren't really doing anything other than taking someone else's hard work and claiming it as their own. These people make me physically ill.
