  3. Depends on the doctor. I've been around enough of them to know the majority aren't very good. They killed my mother and grandfather and belittled me just because I have rare diseases they don't know anything about. I got very lucky that a very good specialist happened to retire in a city not far from me, practiced 3 days a week, and decided to take me as a patient. I'd probably be dead by now if he hadn't. He was an endocrinologist that had worked at Mayo and John Hopkins. I have 3 active and possibly as many as 5 separate autoimmune diseases that cross different specialties.
