Iger left because he wants to run for political office. He's the one that decided to make Disney get involved publicly in politics. Had he not done that because he has political hopes, none of this would be going on there right now. It looks like Chapek is trying to go back to being an apolitical company. He's a numbers guy though so that's not surprising. He was over the parks for years. That's why employees are calling Iger because they know they can hurt his political aspirations and why he's so mad at Chapek. Edit: None of this is about what's best for Disney as a company. I hope everyone of the employees throwing a fit lose their jobs. They should and they need to learn the difference between business and personal.
