So I have to do what YOU say instead of what THEY say? Yeah, no thanks. How about I decide for myself what I believe and not listen to other people making demands on me. You're no different just the other side seeking the same kind of control. Making demands like that of other people isn't going to get people on your side. They'll just alienate you too.

@rwberger6 Bingo! That's why companies do this. It's to prevent unionizing or even just discussion of working together. If you pay attention every company deploys this when there's talks of Union. It creates divisions to prevent the trust that's needed in the workforce. Even though it doesn't offer a direct return, they see it as preventing losses from increased wages and benefits. So they win in the long run.

The companies use it to prevent Unions. The people in HR use it to take control of the company. If they only hire like minded people, they'll have enough to pressure the big guys to bend to their demands. Their demands are ideological though and not monetary. So the company does it to protect from monetary demands only to end up bowing to ideological ones. It ended up being a giant bait and switch. Edit: See Papa John's as a prime example. They force out the CEO to replace them with someone like minded and now you've lost your company all because you wanted to prevent Unions.
