  1.  @avae5343  That's the difference. They, Amazon, view as a movie franchise. It's not and never was. It's one of the most iconic and important works of literature. It's so much more than a few movies.

  2. They even said that. They said they were fixing it. Their actors have come out doing interviews about how important it is that they are this race or gender. That they are the "first". The stupid one playing the Dwarven Queen, which according to Dwarven lore should have no power, is the first female Dwarf in a LotR show and the first POC. Both false because female Dwarves were in the Hobbit as well as POC were background characters in human parts in it.

  3.  @XiaoFury  I don't know why the press is trying to sell that as Sauron. It's not from what I've heard from people with insiders on the show. It's the human. If you notice there are 3 of these basically albinos with blue eyes. I believe they are supposed to be 3 wizards which shouldn't even be there. The white wizard, the gray wizard, and the brown wizard. Some are speculating they might be the blue wizards, but there are only 2 of them. In one clip in the trailer it shows all 3 together. They can't speak in the first season which there's no mention of Sauron ever being unable to communicate.

  4. The books are better, but that true for any movie adapted from a book. Some of my favorite parts were left out or changed. Jackson explained why he made most of those decisions. It is the closest we will ever be made.

  5. OMG! Claiming fans complaining about the LGBTQ themes and diversity are just bigots because obviously a Catholic would put those themes in something he'd find "timeless". Adding that doesn't make it timeless. It's putting today's political BS into Tolkien. I'm happy they're finally admitting there's LGBTQ stuff in it. Now are they going to finally admit the sex since they had an intimacy coach? All totally stuff the devout Catholic Tolkien would do. 🤮
